Terms and Conditions
SUBSCRIPTION- Registered users who wish to purchase digital content from the OFA online portal need to first pay a subscription fee of RM 10.
- Subscription validity is for a year.
- A subscription registration must be made using the subscription form provided.
- The subscription fee can be paid via credit card during the online subscription registration. The payment receipt will be sent through the registed email.
- Archives subscribers who subscribe to the facilities may enjoy other services and facilities provided by the National Archives.
- Subscriptions will not be automatically renewed. To continue the subscription, the Archive Subscribers must pay the fee according to the selected subscription period prior to or after the expiration of the previous subscription.
- The subscription fee paid is for the subscription period selected. The Archives Subscriber may not cancel their subscription or halt subscription before the period ends.
- By subscribing to ANM, the Archives Subscribers agree that ANM will not bear liabilities or losses due to complications or failure to utilise the services resulting from the Archives Subscribers themselves or the internet service provider or problems occurring beyond the control of ANM.
- Use of digital content through the OFA portal is subjected to the Reference and Public Archive Access Regulations 2012.
- 2. Archives Subscribers agree that the Digital Content successfully downloaded from the OFA Portal will not be utilised as a trademark or for any purposes violating the laws, obscene use, or to defame any persons, or to go against the privacy, publicity and moral rights, or to go against the copyrights of any trade name or trademark of any person or entity.
- Archives Subscribers agree to not claim any rights (trademark or title) on the digital content purchased.
- Kandungan digital yang dimuat turun menerusi portal OFA ANM hanya boleh digunakan oleh untuk tujuan rujukan dan penyelidikan oleh pelanggan Arkib yang berdaftar sahaja.
- Pelanggan Arkib yang hendak menggunakan kandungan digital yang dimuatturun bagi tujuan komersil seperti penyiaran, pameran, penerbitan atau pengiklanan di mana-mana media samada di media elektronik atau media cetak perlu mendapat kebenaran bertulis daripada Ketua Pengarah ANM.
- Bagi tujuan ini, pelanggan arkib dikehendaki mengisi Borang Perjanjian Penggunaan Kandungan Digital Untuk Tujuan Komersil yang telah yang disediakan secara dalam talian menerusi portal OFA. Pelanggan Arkib perlu menyatakan dengan jelas tujuan kandungan digital yang hendak digunakan secara komersil.
- Borang Perjanjian Penggunaan Kandungan Digital Untuk Tujuan Komersil yang telah lengkap diisi dan ditandatangani, boleh dihantar melalui pos, email atau fax pada alamat yang dinyatakan seperti di bawah:-
- The digital content downloaded through the ANM OFA portal may only be used for reference and research purposes by the registered Archives Subscribers only.
- Archives Subscribers who wish to utilise the digital content downloaded for commercial purposes such as broadcasts, exhibitions, publications or advertisings in any media either on the electronic or print media must request a written permission from the Director General of ANM.
- For this purpose, the Archives Subscribers are required to fill in the Digital Content Usage Agreement for Commercial Purposes Form provided online through the OFA portal. The Archives Subscribers must clearly state the purpose of the digital content which will be used commercially.
- The completed and signed Digital Content Usage Agreement for Commercial Purposes Form, can be sent by post, email or fax to the address stated below:-

Some of the digital content in the OFA Portal have copyrights. Therefore, the Archives Subscribers are responsible in identifying the owner of the copyright and acquire their permission prior to using the digital content in any way.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- The Archives Subscribers are prohibited from cancelling either the subscription fee payments or the digital content payments made.
- Payments made cannot be refunded. No guarantees of money return by ANM.
- Any amendments on the cancellation policy is under the absolute authority of ANM.
- Archives Subscribers may perform bookings to obtain the digital content of the public archives materials which are still in analogue form; identified from the results of the search conducted on the OFA Portal.
- For this purpose, Archives Subscribers are required to fill in the Digital Content Booking Form provided online.
- The completed Archives Material Booking Form can be submitted by post, email or fax to the address stated below:-

- ANM will contact the Archives Subscriber that performed bookings of the digital content through email for booking verifications.
- The Archives Subscribers may make payments for bookings made according to the payment terms as stipulated in Article (8) after the invoice issued by ANM is received.
- Booking of digital contents are subjected to the terms and conditions stipulated by ANM.
- All online payment transactions through the ANM OFA Portal are in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) for payments made in the country and US Dollar (USD) for payments made from overseas (Malaysia).
- Payments for the purchase of the Public Archives Digital Content may be made via the following methods :-
- ANM will not process bookings of digital content made in the event that ANM does not receive full payment from the Archives Subscribers.
- In the event that ANM does not receive full payment within 30 days from the booking date, ANM reserves the right to cancel the booking.
- ANM is not liable for all loss or indemnity experienced by the Archives Subscribers for all payment transactions due to any mistakes, electricity disruption, internet connection breakdown, computer virus, system failure or other factors beyond the control of the ANM arising during the process of payment by credit card.
- ANM will deliver the digital content booked by the Archive Subscribers within 30 days from the date of the full payment.
- The Delivery Fee charged depends on the weight and delivery destination and is borne by the Archives Subscriber.
- ANM is not liable for any delays or loss during the postal delivery service.
The prices displayed in the Portal are subject to the National Archives Regulations (Fees) 2005 Amended 2012.
