New Announcement : Reference Time At The Research Hall

Introduction

The main objective of these services is to disseminate information in available at the National Archives of Malaysia to the public and to create a society that is knowledgeable, competent and who love their country.
This service provides referral facilities for archival and library materials.

Monday to Friday 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Tuesday to Thursday 9.00 am - 6.00 pm
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays Close

  1. Research Hall
    For the ease and convenience of the researchers, an extensive Research Hall has been provided, furnished with tables and chairs that can accommodate 150 people at one time. It is equipped with a Service Counter, Reference Room and computers.
  2. Microfilm Room
    Archival materials are available in video form, and tape recorded/ tape cassettes can be viewed / play in the Audio Visual Room. Devices such as TV, video player and recorders are available.
  3. Audio Visual Room
    Archival materials are available in video form, and a tape recorder / tapes can be viewed / play in the Audio Visual Room. Devices such as TV, video player and recorders are available.
  4. Facilities to Reserve materials (eg, Reserve Form)
    Archival materials are available in video form, and tape recorded / tapes can be viewed / play in the Audio Visual Room. Devices such as TV, video player and recorders are available.
  5. Registration Counter
    Registration counters are provided to facilitate researcher's registration.
  6. Service Counter
    Counter Service is provided for researchers to deal with counter staff.
  7. Consultation Room
    The room is available to enable researchers to interact and discuss with Officers for advice, assistance and information.
  8. Locker and Lounge
    Outside the Research Hall, there are lockers provided where researchers may keep their belonging and  a sitting room for relaxing  and watch TV. Light reading materials such as newspapers, and magazines are available in the Library Department at the M level, at the same building.
